Flying Vee, Summer Tee! Class 1 of 2

  • 21 W. Strand St. Kingston US (map)

Two session 2-hour course meeting on 6/15 and 6/29.

Ready to go beyond beginner knitting?

Just in time for summer, knit a Flying Vee tee shirt by Stephanie Earp in a two-part class with Dania. This top is easy to wear and fun to make - it's knit side-to-side! Go beyond beginner knitting and learn increases, decreases, German short rows, shaping, and seaming. This flattering top is the perfect showcase for a speckled, hand-dyed fingering weight skein and makes a great first-sweater project.

Choose one skein from our stock of Into the Whirled, Barn Yarn, Crafter Gamer Geek or cowgirlblues sock skeins, and pair it with another from the same dyer or something more solid to show it off, like Newburgh Yarn Company or Amano. Or, if you have a sock skein you've been hoarding, perhaps this is the project it's meant to be. Bring it in to find a match. And speckles are not required - choose a bold contrast of two solid colors to lean into the cool, graphic quality of the design!

According to the pattern you'll need:

  • size US 4 (3.5mm) circular needles with a 24" cable (or size needed to obtain gauge)

  • Three stitch markers

Bring or buy these things for class. Please purchase your pattern from the designer here on your own and bring a printout and/or digital copy to class. (This pattern is not one that we can sell through Ravelry in-store sales.)

Please come to class with your yarn wound or caked, and/or come early before your first class to allow time to shop and have your yarn wound.
