Intro to Mosaic Colorwork Knitting

  • 21 W. Strand St. Kingston US (map)

Two Saturday late afternoon sessions in March

Expand your knitting skills and jump into the magical world of color!

Learn to work with multiple colors for the first time while working on increases and decrease as we knit the charming Pressed Flowers Kerchief together.

This two part class will take place over two weeks with a week in between so you have plenty of time for homework.

This class is a great next step after taking our Knitting Newbies and Beyond Beginner Knitting courses or if you’ve ever wanted to learn color work knitting but it seemed too intimidating.

Mosaic style color work is the easiest method to learn as you’re only working with one color at a time so it’s a great entry point for working with color.

Note because of the slow nature of knitting, you won’t finish this project in class, but you’ll leave with all the skills needed to finish it on your own!

Teacher: Kristin Parker

Class fee: $75, no yarn or needles included.

Materials

  • The Pressed Flowers Kerchief pattern (free!)

  • 2 skeins (contrasting colors) of DK weight yarn (sport and worsted can also work for this pattern, just change needle sizes accordingly)

  • US 6 circular or straight needles

  • Optional (but useful!) Row counter

During your course, you may shop with a 10% discount on full-price items (some limited items are excluded from this discount) on the dates your class meets.

Minimum 2 people to confirm the class, maximum of 8 students total. If we don’t reach the minimum of two students by 3 days before the date of the first class we’ll refund your purchase in full. Read and understand our Class Policies here.
