March Mending Meetup

  • 21 W. Strand St. Kingston US (map)

Monthly the first Thursday evening of the month starting in March

Want some support in getting through the ever growing mending pile? Have a particularly tricky mend you’d like some help gaming out strategy on? Join us for our new Monthly Mending Meetup, a drop in mending clinic where you can bring 1-2 projects to trouble shoot and work on, have access to a range of mending supplies, hang out with other menders, and treat yourself to a drink special!

We’ll spend the hour and a half together saving our beloved textiles from landfill and learning from each other (and get that much needed accountability we all need for our sometimes less exciting projects). You’ll have long time mender Kristin along side you to decide what the best technique for your project may be and get you going.

Please note this is less a class and more a casual gathering. We will be able to help you with your projects and you’ll pick up skills along the way but this is not a space to fully learn new techniques. If you want to get a great foundation for your mending before joining us, please join us for our hand sewing classes Visible Mending and/or Sashiko Stitching

Lead mender: Kristin Parker

Meetup fee: $25 includes support from Kristin and access to needles/pins, fabric scraps, and thread for use during the meetup.

Max of 8 attendees. Read and understand our Store Policies here. As with our classes, there are no refunds for missed sessions. If you can not attend on the date you signed up for, please contact us and you can use your credit at a future mending meetup!
