This course meets three consecutive Saturdays from 12-1pm.
Know the basics of knitting but not quite ready to tackle the more advanced stuff covered in Beyond Beginner Knitting like cables, lace and reading charts? Next Step Knitting is the perfect stepping stone between our two classes: Knitting Newbies and Beyond Beginner Knitting. In Next Step Knitting we’ll cover some techniques to get you well on your way with all you need to know to make simple beginner patterns.
You’ll learn:
Basic increases
Basic decreases
How to knit in the round (both small and large circumference)
Basics of reading a pattern
How to fix your mistakes
How to read your knitting (aka what did I do here?)
In Next Step knitting, we’ll focus on building a skill each class, but you’ll also be working on a simple project of your choice during the class and there will be class time to trouble shoot your project.
Class 1. Increases and decreases and how to read a pattern.
Class 2. Knitting in the round (small circumference and large)
Class 3. Fix your mistakes and read your knitting
