Welcome back wonderful Wendy! Wendy Gadbois Jensen is an award-winning professional basketmaker living in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts. We are thrilled to host her at Yarn Farm Kingston again this year.

Students will lay out a “spoked” base using rattan flat stakes.  A continuous weave will be used to start this basket.  The stakes are split and the weave will continue up the sides of the basket with a 2/2 twill weaving pattern.  Shaping techniques will be taught as the sides are woven.  Rim fitting, scarfing and a decorative “braided” lash will be taught.  Basket measures about 4” high by 10”wide, a nice size to serve your favorite muffins.

Appropriate for all levels of weavers.

Workshop Fee: $125/student. Your payment confirms your spot. If the class is full, please call or email us to join the waitlist.

Materials Fee: $45/student, payable to Wendy by cash or check on the day of the class.

The total cost for this workshop is $170.

You will have a break for lunch mid-way through the class. Lunch is not included in the Workshop Fee. You are welcome to order from our wine bar or stroll the Kingston Waterfront and grab a bite.

Registration will be through our normal class registration platform beginning Monday, July 7 at 12pm.

Cancellation policy for this event:

Full refund less credit card processing fee is provided for any cancellation up to one week before the class date (i.e., 9pm on Thurs 7/31/25) if we can replace you with another student. No credit or refunds issued after this time, including no-shows on the day-of. If the class is cancelled by us because we have not met the stated minimum number of students, you will receive a full refund.

You may transfer your spot to a friend by updating us by email and sharing the full name and email address of your replacement. We will confirm the change by email in turn.

Waitlist: We will take names for a waitlist if the class sells out and list names in order here.
