On Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31 we welcome Amy Crews of UpStudio Brooklyn!!

Meet the Maker! Amy will be on-site on Sat 8/30 from 2-5pm and Sun 8/31 from 11am-1pm.

All jewelry pieces are handcrafted from sterling silver, brass, semi-precious stones, enamel, felt, concrete, and silk. Amy’s techniques include soldering, forging, stamping, enamel work, wax carving, knitting, crochet, weaving, beading, casting concrete and, for the accessories, block printing and sewing. 

Throughout all of her collections there is a thread of asymmetry and balance that gives her pieces movement and life. Amy hopes they bring as much joy to the wearer as they do her in making them. Her inspiration comes from many places including her day job as a landscape architect, the materials themselves and sometimes something as small as a discarded, crumpled piece of wire.
