Weaving Newbies March Course

Three Sunday afternoons in March from 3-4:30pm.

In this three-session course you’ll learn the basics of weaving on a lap loom including plain weave, weaving with multiple colors, adding texture, warping a loom, and planning and executing your own simple design. You will receive a small loom and a supply of wool in the first class and you will use this loom for the length of the course. Each session is 90 min long of which approx. 60-75 min is active teaching and 15-30 min is reserved at the end of class for guided practice weaving.

Course fee of $120 includes a small loom that you can borrow and take home with you for the full length of the course, a small supply of starter yarn and cotton warp, a weaving needle and a tapestry needle. Should you wish to purchase a loom at the end of your course you will have 15% off your new loom purchase (from our available stock of tapestry/lap looms).

Minimum 2 people to confirm the class, maximum of 6 students total. If we don’t reach the minimum of two students by 3 days before the date of the first class we’ll refund your purchase in full. If your child is interested in learning we welcome you to organize a group of 2-4 kids and talk to us about scheduling a class for your small group. Weaving is a great option for kids!
