Wet Felting a Birdhouse Redux with Carlise

Learn the fun and relaxing technique of wet felting by making a bird house. Wet felted bird houses are an eco-friendly and sustainable natural art.

Have you wet felted a birdhouse at Yarn Farm in the past? This is a NEW take on it! We will be exploring colors and more vibrant designs for a more decorative birdhouse rather than a house for birds.

Your instructor Carlise will guide you in shaping your template so you can build your house on a resist. You will learn how to prepare wool fiber for wet felting, process your fiber so that it felts and then full the felt so that it becomes a sturdy structure. The last process is to mold your structure so that it dries in the shape you intended.

The class is beginner friendly, hands on and you get to take your adorable birdhouse home for your sweet feathered friends!
