This class is meant for beginners who have already taken their very first Beginner Knitting (one-hour) class where we covered how to cast on and the knit stitch.

In this “Plus” class we’ll cover the purl stitch and how to bind off, after a very quick review of casting on and the knit stitch. This “Plus” class is also a good option if you learned how to knit in the past and would like a refresher.

We expect to offer the “Plus” version of our beginner classes on our last Saturday class of each month, so you can plan accordingly and take one Beginner Knitting class early in a given month, then this one towards the end of that month.

Materials Fee if this is your first class: $20 for Kelbourne Woolens Germantown 100% wool and Ginger wooden straight needles OR $60-90 for Loopy Mango My First Hat or My First Scarf project kit with 100% merino wool, wooden circular needles, pattern and online video tutorial support. Otherwise, no materials fee necessary. Just bring your yarn from your first class.
